Smudge Tutorial Step 5

I smudge the scutes and horns with the 17 pixel soft edge smudger, at 50% pressure, and I start adding fine details first with the airbrush set to 14 pixels and later 17 pixels for the highlights along the red sections. Now I just start getting wacky with the picture.

I was playing here with the idea of suggesting sparkling scales.
