Smudge Tutorial Step 9 (Toddler says "I WANT A BLUE DRAGON!")

[ Color Change - go from red to blue, add spots: Page 9 ]

I figured it would be good to cover how I do multiple hues of the same picture in Photoshop too. My daughter Ellie is Blue Crazy, so when she saw me doing a red dragon, she "asked" *cough*demanded*cough* a blue one. So, I went into Photoshop's Hue/Saturation menu...

Move the slider until you get the color you'd like for the next version of your art.

In this case, I got a nice deep blue. And, I took the paintbrush, and set it to Color Burn setting to make darker "spots" on the dragon, since Ellie wanted a spotted dragon.

Final Cleanup of Ellie's Blue Dragon

I used a smudge tool set to 14 pixels with a soft edge at 42% pressure. Voila!

All Done! :)
